Lou's Nesting Box Tantrum

Three of the four nesting boxes were full and Lou was not happy.  Why she couldn't use the fourth nesting box is a chicken mystery.  Her squawks and squeaks were likely heard around the neighborhood. 

Red Door Coop Pen...and a visitor

We had a young visitor yesterday.  She got to see the chickens exploring their pen for the first time this year.  The grown ups were vigilant in keeping her fingers out of the pen!

Scratch Time

Last evening the girls were especially squawky during scratch time, their snack before chicken bedtime.  I looked in on them from the coop.
