Outside Looking In

It was an ordinary Sunday morning at Red Door Coop today.  Chicken business as usual.

And there was the Honker.  Looking in.

Then it was chicken business as usual on the other side of the chicken yard.
And there was the Honker doing his own thing.
Until.  The Honker.  The chickens ran.

The Honker stood alone.

Sunday.

Red Door Coop is a happy place, especially with Sunday morning snackies.

Sometimes we are asked to identify the six hens by name.  Here goes.

Jim.

Brian.  She is always moving and the blurry photo (plus the ten deleted ones) can attest to that fact.

Weezy.

BB.

Murphy.

David.

Snackies today consist of lettuce, apples, garlic, crackers, cheerios, and sunflower seeds.

Long time in between

It's been awhile.  In the last month and a half we went from no eggs to this.

We've gone from chickens adjusting (READ: Fighting) to chickens acting like a flock.

We went from winter to summer (although it is back to winter again).

We went from mediocre feathers to fluffy tail feathers.

This guy turned one.
