Playtime

We surprised the chickens with a huge cardboard tube yesterday.  They were terrified of it for awhile and then Lou, who is the current head hen, got kinda cozy with it!

We are being a bit more relaxed about Bill's broodiness but still pushing her out of the nesting box several times a day to remind her to take care of chicken business: dust bathe, food, water, and scratching and pecking.  Lots of scratching and pecking. 

We've heard from Bruiser's new family and she is slowly settling in at her new home.
